About The Event

WHAT IS A NIGHT IN A CAR?

A homelessness simulation that shines a spotlight on the hidden aspect of homelessness that many in our community experience--living in their cars. Participants will "live" out of their cars during the overnight hours. We are challenging participants to raise $1,000 per car.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL THIS EVENT TAKE PLACE?

Friday, February 5th, 2021 at 7 pm. The simulation will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 South Madison Street, in Bloomington. *

Please Note: Depending on how the COVID-19 pandemic progresses, we are prepared to make the event virtual!

WHY GET INVOLVED?

Your participation helps those in need right here in Bloomington-Normal. When you reach your $1,000 goal you and all of your supporters provide one month of food and shelter for one person. That then allows that person to gain stability and begin to initiate steps toward becoming a contributing citizen of the community. You help provide others the opportunity to a fresh start!

Check out what our past volunteers had to say about participating. Make an impact and challenge yourself, family, and friends today!
